I have made three Renfrew's now, and the muslin below is the best fitting one. It is unfortunate that the fabric is so hideous, and I didn't try to match any patterns :) I cut a size 12 and it could stand to be a smidge larger, so I will make a tiny adjustment on my next one. Other than that, this pattern can now be called a TNT. This top will be good to wear around the house. I am going to remake this top in a boring white knit because I need a white top to wear with my summer skirts.
My little Sisal Pig. She is my sweet doxie. |
Soap curing. It takes about 4 - 6 weeks before it is ready to use. |
My mystery tulips. A lady I work with gave me a bunch of bulbs last Spring, and she thought they were Surprise Lilies. Well! Surprise!! Most all of them are tulips, which is funny, because I have never been able to get tulips to bloom before. They are so pretty.
Have a great rest of the week.Take care and God Bless!
What a pretty Renfrew.. Love it as a blouse too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a surprise.. instead of a lily you got a tulip.. so pretty and fun.
Making soap sounds so fun.. I have never tried it, but have seen lots of people on the blogs doing it..
Very Cool! I Havent Tried Renfrew Myself, But it's Been Extremely Popular Among Sewing Bloggers... :) I Must Try One Sewaholic Pattern One Of Thse Days.. P/s: Sorry For The Caps. Buggy Phone.
ReplyDeleteHi, it looks a very wearable top, so I'll have to explore these patterns one day. I have to admit I quite liked the fabric!
ReplyDeletei love the renfrew. i've made it so many times with different mods. definitely a TNT!
ReplyDeletei don't make my own soap but i've started buying it from etsy. i'm allergic to smelly things and i like being able to get natural unscented soap.
Love your renfrew top. I've got a couple of new ones planned also.
